Outsourcing for non coded items

Customer Introduction:

This company manufactures office partitions for corporate offices.

Problem / Goal:

The product is a big assembly of multiple sub assemblies and components. Defining every component & sub assembly is not feasible as these are custom made items and too many in numbers. But these parts go out for processing. OurSys did not allow undefined parts to go out through Outsourcing. Thus it was painstaking activity of creating those items, their Bill of Material, Process Layouts and then sending them out.

The Solution:

We developed a special Outsourcing feature using which undefined items can be sent for outsourcing without creating an item, its BOM and process layout.

The Result / Benefits:

This has saved huge amount of time and made ERP implementation easier.

This feature has proved useful to different kinds of companies. Some are using it for repairs and some for odd sub assemblies.
