Receiving goods in multiple unit of measurement

Customer Introduction:

This customer is a manufacturer of industrial valves and buys castings.

Problem / Goal:

The unit weight of castings varies from unit to unit. OurSys has a standard unit of measurement conversion. But in this case there is no standard as it varies within a tolerance. The purchase orders are placed in kg and a certain units are expected. It is therefore required to capture quantity in both kg and numbers.

The Solution:

In addition to the usual auto unit of measurement conversion, we have a feature to capture received quantity in 2 units of measurement. Thus the bill is passed based on kg and stock increases in numbers.

The Result / Benefits:

This will take care of the scenario where the units of measurement are not constant.
